COVID-19 update - June 20, 2020

Because we still value and respect science and data, and because we understand the importance of strong and effective leadership, we made some changes to the operations of Batch Baking Company when Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” mandate was put in place in March 2020. We reduced days and hours of operation and shifted to focus on special orders, suspending service to drop-in customers.

We continue to evaluate the situation and follow the guidance of the State Department of Health and Public Health, Seattle and King County. We have made some changes as King County has moved into Phase 2 of the State’s “Safe Start” reopening plan and details are below.

• Hours of Operation: We will be open 11:00am –5:00pm. Thursday through Sunday. We will most likely expand days and hours of operation in July and will post updates here and on Facebook and Instagram (@batchbakingseattle).

• Welcoming Drop-In Customers: Because we felt it was important to do our part to reduce physical contact between people, we suspended service to drop-in customers starting in March. Starting June 20, 2020, we are again opening the shop to welcome drop-in customers. To maintain safety for all we have implemented some new practices for those who visit the shop.

  • One party/group (less than 5 people) in the shop at a time.

  • We strongly recommend the use of facial coverings/masks.

  • Our seating area and restrooms are currently closed.

  • Maintain at least 6 feet physical distance from any other person (not in your party).

  • Please do not enter if you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

  • We strongly recommend payment via credit/debit card and discourage use of cash.
